The lesson goes like this
- Print page 1 on one page with the back side blank; print pages 2 and 3 back to back
- Give them page 1, and have students answer the questions on the first page
- Let them listen again if necessary, go over the answers, point them out in the transcript
- Then play the video from 6 minutes onwards
- Give them pages 2/3 and have them answer the questions on the last page
- If time, play it again, , go over the answers point them out in the transcript
- Proclaim them prepared for their test tomorrow

Now that you have watched video examples of TED talks, it's your turn to find a talk from the TED site that interests you. Here is the link: http://www.ted.com/talks
- You can work in groups of 2 or 3
- Pick a video from https://www.ted.com/topics
- Make sure the talk you pick is not too long (5-10 minutes long should be good enough).
- You will need to get your teacher to approve the TED talk you picked.
- Next, you will listen to the talk using your headsets as many times as you wish and write notes to summarize the key points.

- Name

- Where you are from
- Your hobbies
- Why you want to be a pilot
Now work with a partner.
Your partner is the interviewer. You are being interviewed.
Tell your partner the same thing.
The partner writes your information on a sheet of paper.
Instructions:
- Write in complete sentences
- The partner puts HIS name on the paper
- Do NOT write the name of the student being interviewed
- Hand the paper in to the teacher when done
In a later class the teacher tries to return each paper to the student who was interviewed
